Nigeria: The Ogoni film (working title)

"The Ogoni” (working title) is an observational feature documentary which tells a story that began many years ago, and whose outcome is unlikely to be revealed for a very long time. It takes place in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and its backdrop, an area of 450 sq miles, Ogoniland, was, in the past, a region of green and astonishing beauty. The population today has no choice but to live in an environment which has been reduced to a wasteland as a result of Shell Oil's presence since 1958."
