Canada: Racism Reborn

This video footage shows how racial discrimination is exercised in the city of Calgary in Canada.

Part 1:

Part 2:

The local nightclubs obviously show unfavoritism against ethnic and racial minorities such as African immigrants. There was a speculation that the local police was also a part of this discriminatory conduct. Immigrants and refugee population in Calgary has been significantly growing for the last few years, and it will continuously increase for the next five years. The Government of Alberta publicly announced the government's commitment to eliminate racial discrimination by celebrating the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in March 2011. There are numbers of concerns around immigrants and refugee issues in relation to employments, housing, and fair treatment in this province. It is a time to remind the State's obligation to meet the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD).
